What's Hot In Barreleisure Style

Summer has arrived so everything seems a little hotter.  Beach bags are packed, patios have been prepped for alfresco dining and the days seem to run into nights. Outdoor activities like barre in the park and Sweat Local Columbus Fitness Expo are on the calendar. And the summer wardrobe staples of swimsuits and coverups are all included, but what about your workout wear?

For those of us who enjoy a sweat sesh at the barre, it's all about barreleisure style-you know what I'm talking about-those pieces that can be worn to the barre studio and beyond. Fun and functional styles that can also be dressed up or down depending on whether you're heading to the pool or girls night out. Barreleisure is a combination of barre fashion and athleisure wear, which allows one to dress for  adventures in the studio and wherever else life takes you.

And when it comes to barreleisure style, one thing is for certain, leggings are always in, no matter what the weather or season is. A fun way to update your summer legging game is to switch from black to grey, or add some fun pops of color, like with our Rainbow Block Leggings. And for those who have the style motto of all black everything for every season, simply add some sparkle with shoes and accessories - an easy way to brighten up your look for the season.

So temps are warmer, tan lines are forming and showing a little more skin goes along with summer style like wine goes with weekends. But let's not forget about the frigid AC feels and crazy ups and downs of potential weather (fellow Midwesterners know what's up). Layers, layers, layers, which are obvious style choices for cooler months, are also must-haves for a classic and cozy summer look. Because let's be honest, nothing puts a damper on a fun, fashionable event more than teeth chattering, except maybe bad wine. So grab that cardigan, scarf or long sleeve top and enjoy whatever comes your way.

And who says cover-ups are just for swimsuits - certainly not us. Long shirts and tunics are a perfect layer for pre and post barre workouts, then just add accessories for a haute happy hour look. So before you head to the studio, don't forget to pack your swimsuit and accessories and you'll be all set for the barre, beach and bar, in true barreleisure style. Now get on out there and have some summer fun-and look good doing it.
